Traditional archery has been described as being a lifestyle, not a sport. I know it has been that for me for 30 some odd years. It's an attitude of looking at life in simpler terms, knowing that the faster or easier way is not always the best, that the greatest satisfaction comes from success accomplished the hard way. If you have been slinging arrows from a bent stick for a number of years, you know what I'm talking about. If you have just recently been bitten by the traditional bug, welcome....you will be in the company of some of the most sincere and dedicated hunters on earth.

Why buy a custom bow?

I have found the reasons a person buys a custom bow varies but most are looking for better performance, or they appreciate hand craftsmanship. I do my best to deliver both. Please read "Design Thoughts", found at the top menu, for a better explanation of this.

I build my bows with the best materials I can lay my hands on and are Fast Flight ® compatible. I finish them with satin Thunderbird Epoxy ® which will not peel or crack and is very mar resistant. You will find the craftsmanship and finish second to none.

Performance? My longbows with the ACS limb design(US Patent# 6,718,962), has no peers. (Please look at the independant testing in the top menu.) Even the best recurves can not keep up. I'm proud of the performance but more important is how stable and forgiving this design is. Please feel free to browse through the parts that don't become sawdust and e-mail or phone with any questions or comments you may have.....Get close and shoot straight. >>>----> O.L. Adcock
